British Company Dezineforce offers High Performance in the cloud or in a box

Dezineforce, which has its roots in the University of Southampton, aims to bring high performance computing to the UK and Europe through two offerings. It is offering a cloud based option as well as a 'black box' appliance to be hosted within the business.

The 'black box' is HPC computing cluster configured specifically for design analyses, pre-installed with the analysis applications such as ANSYS Mechanical and LS-Dyna, a suite of operations tools and an advanced scheduler that manages the submitted jobs from all engineers against the available compute resources.

This centralised, on-demand super computing service allows many smaller businesses access to high performance calculations when they need it, without having to purchase high cost hardware and licences.

The company has already worked with construction company Arup on a recent project, providing computing support to the design and build of a 65,000-seat sporting stadium in the Middle East.
